- The rig was located in the Dutch sector of the North Sea, midway between Norway and England. We towed it down to the coast outside Amsterdam, says Roy Engen, captain on board FFS Arion.

The Swift 10 is a jack-up drilling rig that is easy to move. It measures 67 by 40 metres, was built in 2010 and was specially designed to operate in shallow water. The maximum water depth is 40 metres.

FFS IS STILL involved in so-called "rig moves". This summer, both FFS Athos and FFS Arion participated in towing rigs.

- Swift 10 was towed with FFS Arion and two other tugs. Altogether, the tow was 205 miles long and lasted for eight days, says Engen.

AFTER THAT THE RIG arrived at its destination, FFS Arion assisted in the tow of the oil and chemical tanker Hafnia Tanzanite. The boat, which is 183 meters long and 32 meters wide and built in 2016, could no longer go under its own power.

- There was no rescue mission. The tanker was at anchor outside IJmuiden, and needed help to get into Amsterdam, says Engen.
