- These vessels operate as escort boats for seismic ships. We have carried out a number of upgrade jobs on both to make them ready for new assignments, says workshop manager Ronny Christoffersen.

On Ocean Dee, a team from FFS has dismantled a so-called Pinger Pole, which is a signal transmitter used in seismic operations.

- HERE WE HAVE removed both winches and hydraulics, and burned off old fasteners, says Christoffersen.

The pinger will now be mounted on the supply boat Thor Alpha.

OCEAN MARLIN has had a Yokohama fender welded to the forward side, so that it can lie next to the seismic vessel that it follows.

- There is a lot of activity in the harbor at the moment, and a lot of traffic in our own area. In the next few days, among other things, the seismic vessel SW Amundsen will be moved to the FFS quay to be activated for a new mission, says Christoffersen.
