The first ship left Agnefest already in December. The trip down to the Turkish shipyard that will recycle the boats is 3500 nautical miles, and takes about one month.

During the winter and spring, two more boats have been sent the same way.

- I DO NOT KNOW the exact background. But this is tonnage operating in a market that has not been at its peak in recent years. In addition, steel prices are high, says operations manager at FFS, Leif Steinar Simonsen.

The first trip was characterized by a bit of bad weather. Otherwise, the towing of the three boats has gone exactly according to plan.

TRAWING ASSIGNMENTS has kept FFS Arion active for half a year.

- There are three good and big jobs. We are very happy to have our newly purchased boat on such long trips. None of our other boats have enough traction to be able to carry out such a tow. So this shows that we need FFS Arion in the fleet, says Simonsen.
